The SilRefuge™ is an ultralight siliconized 100% polyester shaped tarp, specially designed to set up on one or more hiking poles as a two person standalone shelter. A non-slip pole cap holds a hiking pole in place at the reinforced apex, with a second pole wrap prop-point in the center of the shelter. There are 21 reinforced webbing tie outs on the corners and edges (one on the outside of the pole cup to enable suspension from a tree), and 3 webbing tie loops on the main body of the tarp. The front entrance flaps can be left open for ventilation or overlapped and staked for a weather tight closure. The SilRefuge has no zippers. Pitch off ground level for best ventilation. The SilRefuge may also be attached to the front of many tents as a simple vestibule.
